Some time ago I contacted Icom to enquire about the purchase of software to program a radio (a site visitor had contacted me for help as he was trying to buy it and couldn't get it anywhere. "It's not stocked any more, it's too old." was what he was being told).
I was informed, by the contact at Icom, that the radio had been discontinued some years previously and that the programming software was no longer available for sale through the dealer network nor was it supported any more. Further advice on obtaining the software was; "Search the internet and if you find it, download it, use it and don't worry about it".
Since then I have received several enquiries regarding other older programming software for Icom radios (you just can't kill 'em!) and collected several pieces of such software, along with instructions wherever possible.
With this page I am short-cutting the "you email me, I dig it from my storage and email it back to you" method of obtaining it by posting the ones I have here, with any basic or special instructions that I am aware of.
Much of the software here was designed to run on a DOS based computer and may work with Windows (16 & 32 bit versions) in a DOS box or "booted to DOS" but 64 bit versions of Windows tend not run them at all. Also, on newer computers, you may have issues regarding USB to Serial interfaces, the software tends to only use COM 1 or 2 so any adaptor that you set up will need to be COM 1 or 2 to have a fighting chance! Copyright, as far as I know, still resides with Icom and others as noted in the software and I will remove the software from the site if I receive such a request from Icom or other copyright holder.
If you are not sure which program and/or lead you require for your radio take a look at the Icom Programming Info Index and find your radio there and take a note of the number, the links for the "EX-xxxx" software will bring you back to this page.
I'm afraid I cannot provide any further assistance or support for the software listed below beyond the Notes, Basic / Special Instructions as noted, therefore enquiries of a support nature may not receive an answer.
