Constructors Corner.

These radios use a lead that is 2 stereo 2.5 mm jack plugs wired tip to tip, ring to ring and sleeve to sleeve, which is shown on the Make an Alinco Cloning Cable page.

1. With both radios off, connect the cloning cable to the CLN jack of the MASTER and SLAVE transceivers (right).
   
   
2. While holding the [F] and [] keys turn on each radio.
   The clone menu appears on the displays.
   
   
3. Press the [] / [] keys on the MASTER to move the cursor to "WRITE" and press the [ENT] key to select.
   
   
4. Press the [] / [] keys on the SLAVE to move the cursor to "READ" and press the [ENT] key to select.
   (There is a third option: "END", if selected it cancels clone mode without copying or sending any data).
   While cloning is in progress the displays will flick between "READ" and "WRITE".
   
   
5. Once cloning has completed sucessfully, turn power for both radios off and remove the connecting cable. When powered on again the radios will return to normal operation.
